Open Enrollment schedule for 2010

  • 40-Hour HAZWOPER

Provision of a forty (40) hour initial training course on Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER).  The training is conducted in accordance with the requirements specified by OSHA at 29 CFR 1910.120.  The course content includes Hazardous Waste Operations, Environmental Monitoring, Medical Monitoring, Decontamination, Personal Protective Equipment, Fire Protection & Prevention, Respiratory Protective Equipment, Permit Required Confined Space Entry, Excavation and Trenching Safety, and Spill Containment & Control.  Students will receive the HAZWOPER supervisor designation.  Student enrollment shall not exceed fifteen (15) students to insure an adequate instructor-to-student ratio. 

  • 24-Hour HAZWOPER Technician

Provision of a twenty-four (24) hour HAZWOPER Technician training session in accordance with OSHA 29CFR1910.120.  The course content includes Hazardous Waste Operations, Environmental Monitoring, Medical Monitoring, Decontamination, Personal Protective Equipment, Respiratory Protective Equipment, and Spill Containment & Control.  Students will receive the HAZWOPER Technician designation.  Student enrollment shall not exceed fifteen (15) students to insure an adequate instructor-to-student ratio. 

  • 8 Hour HAZWOPER Refresher

Provision of an eight (8) hour training course conducted in accordance with the requirements specified by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) at 29 CFR 1910.120.  
The course content includes a review of Hazardous Waste Operations, Environmental Monitoring, Medical Monitoring, Decontamination, Personal Protective Equipment, Fire Protection & Prevention, Respiratory Protective Equipment, and Spill Containment & Control.  Student enrollment shall not exceed twenty-five (25) per session.
